Please provide more information - what pc, what linux, and of course what model of printer and camera.

We cannot support without basic information about hardware.

Hi Martin,
ive got a Dell Optiplex GX50 256mb ram with 9.5gb HDD loaded with UBUNTU,
my printer is a Lexmark all in one X1180, my camera is a Prosio DS 610, they
both have USB connecters and as when I was on Windows both of these
automatically loaded themselves
thanks Keith

@Alan,

please don´t hijack other people's problems.
Open your own question so that you will get the attention it deserves and eventually will help others with the same problem.

That is not helpful,
I'm sorry if I have done the wrong thing by merely asking a question.
Your answer I'm afraid is no answer so I will retire from this area
before I start getting negative impressions of unhelpful nerds.

Can you help with this problem?
