Couple of issues! Please help.

YouTube videos refuse to work on my mini Dell laptop. They get stuck frequently, although I can hear the video playing, I cannot see the picture.

And also, I tried installing AIM but every time I try to install things, a bunch of stuff pops up saying there were errors and stuff.

I'd strongly appreciate some help. Thank you!

Please describe in details what do you start, what do you want, what do you have?
You know, every case is at its own.
Which OS do you run, what's your machine?

Some people cannot answer you without these details. If somebody could do it he would be almost God, you know.

This might be a network issue or a hardware issue. Remember, mini laptops aren´t created for multimedia purposes.

Start by installing ubuntu-restricted-extras using Synaptic.
