Ubuntu 9.04 Trash

I have just installed Ubuntu 9.04. A little later I deleted a document and then tried to find it in the Trash, but it's not there--where did it go?

How did you delete the document? Documents deleted from the command line do not go to the trash folder.

It's a bug already been reported.
