Have a look at Webmin (http://www.webmin.com/). It might be exactly what you need.

Andy

Thank you andy- I have Webmin installed and operational - where I got lost in this new version (I have been away since 2004.) Is on the postfix email server, I want to add additional domains and have the received email transferred ( after spam and anti-virus) to a separate pop server, where the customer can POP3 their individual email. I canot find an interface to do this, nor can I find a individual file to edit to accomplish what I want. I have been through all the documentation available and am still lost.

webmin is no longer supported in Debian and Ubuntu. It is not compatible with the way that Ubuntu packages handle configuration files, and is likely to cause unexpected issues with your system. Use ebox instead.

A cleaner approach is to install openssh-server and connect via ssh from another linux box or use putty in windows. If you want a gui app to run from linux on a windows box you can install Xming and then you will need to append '-X' to the command you connect with. The app will run on the remote system but the app itself will appear on the remote system. This is called "x forwarding" but all system admin things can be done at CLI.

So. if Webmin is not supported on Ubunto or Debian - do I need to find another distribution that will support it and re-do this server? If so where and which distro do I use for this server?
I happen to like webmin and it will do a lot of good stuff - if the underlying system will allow it.
I just am not good anymore at command line operations due to a handicap with my hands. and a GUI interface works better for me if possible.

You can use webmin, just that the config files it links to in its interface do not match debian or ubuntu based systems.
SSH is a great way (and very secure) to configure servers remotely and is very expected in server config based guides. I personally suggest that:

sudo apt-get install openssh-server

I believe this is default enable in the server distro.

Can you help with this problem?
