content of home folder shown on desktop

The content of my home folder (/home/martin/ is shown on the desktop:

martin@desktop:~$ cd Desktop/
martin@desktop:~/Desktop$ pwd
/home/martin/Desktop
martin@desktop:~/Desktop$ ls -A
test.txt
martin@desktop:~/Desktop$

and

martin@desktop:~$ pwd
/home/martin
martin@desktop:~$ ls
addressbook.conf inställningar GVD-1402S.txt
Bilder Mallar
bin Media
cbt message.py
DeladMapp message.py~
Desktop Musik
Dokument my_thinking_rock_database.bak.trx

Double-check the desktop_is_home_dir setting in your GNOME configuration. You may find some additional information in the links on this thread:

The thread pointed to this bug-report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-user-dirs/+bug/154037 which solved my problem.
