Hey dude,

Try not to do this again. You have to type your problem here.Judging by the topic I am giving a solution.

Go to System -> Administration ->Synaptic Package Manager.Click on Edit->Fix Broken Packages & click on Apply.

That should fix your broken packages & then you should be able to install the packages you want.

When I got into Synaptic Package Manager it said I had 0 packets to fix. I still tried to do it by doing edit-> Fix Broken Packages..

but I still get the same message. Funny thing though- is now it wants to do regular system updates (something it wasn't able to do till just now) But when I try to upgrade to Ubuntu 7+, it errors out there too now.

Making some progress- and thank you for your help!!

PS: I'm sorry about posting a link to a video. I won't let it happen again! :)

Hey try this

Reboot your system. Now in the Grub menu you will find Recovery mode. After going there, you will find an option called as dpkg.select that.after this process is over reboot your system & login to your desktop. Now try to install the required package.

This has to fix your problem.

Can you help with this problem?
