If you are endeavouring to run a typical windows .exe file, I'm afraid that you are out of luck!

However if you search through synaptic you may find the same game ported over to Ubuntu. Alternatively a quick hunt on the ubuntu forums (www.ubuntuforums.org) will tell you if others have been able to get the game to work through Wine.

As a last resort you may find that the only solution is virtualisation.

Of course you could write to the producers of the software and inform them that you took their instructions of "windows XP / Vista home eddition, or better, required" and loaded Linux! Although I suspect you won't get much of a response.
