Windows Home Network connections

using ubuntu 8.10. on a windows home network. the ubuntu machine is wired with two wireless win xp machines. the xp machines can see the unbuntu machine. he ubuntu machine sees the network and workgroup, but not the two xp machines. I have wep security. Maybe this needs to be set in the ubuntu machine. How is this done?

if not the problem what is the solution??

where can i go to find a complete network tutorial?

Er, your going to need a steady hand with the wireless for the ubuntu machine.
The last person to answer knows nothing about your problem.
This has to do with wireless encryption scheme support, which is dependant on
Device
Operating system
Wireless security type
user understanding.
Personally I just disable my ssid broadcast and lower the output power on the router.
IF you really want wireless encryption it's going to need to be manually specified in
System> Preferences > Network Configuration.
