Nautilus not showing size type date modifed on drives

On Nautilus 2.24.1 Ubuntu 8.10 when clicking on computer, then clicking list mode. The following is shown:
"Name size type date modified"
"Ok on name -- unknown type unknown"

How can i fix this?

When I click on properties all looks ok for the size and stuff

This is because the columns are made to show file properties and just don't work for drives. I don't think this can be changed.

is a file manager not a drive manager, but if you like to know more about any hard drive there are several graphical options and commands for terminal usage.

e.g.
'hardinfo' can be installed with Synaptic
or
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AccessoriesApplications#Disk%20Usage%20Analyzer

Terminal:
fdisk -l
hwinfo
lshal
lshw
