I have 2 game demos made for linux, but i don't know how to install them

I downloaded 2 game demos(Doom3 & Quake4), that were made for linux. Both installers end in 'demo.x86.run' but when i opened them, it said i needed to choose a program to open them. Wjat program will run these 2 installers?

you need to right click on the files and goto properties. on the new window that opens you need to goto the permissions tab and make sure that "Allow executing file as program" is checked. now when you double click them you will be asked to open the file or run the file, you need to choose run.
