How do i remove permission to run software?

Asked by bmtanner1

when i insert a game the following menu's appear when i want to install it:

"This media contains software intended to be automatically started. Would you like to run it?
The software will run directly from the media "HitmanBloodmoney". You should never run software that you don't trust.
If in doubt, press Cancel."

If i then select 'run' an error message appears saying:

"Error autorunning software .Error starting autorun program: Permission denied"

how do i bypass the permissions? because i allow other user groups free access for all software but i still cannot install the game. if you can give me a hand that would be great thanks.

Windows programs (.exe files) with not run natively in linux. There is a compatibility layer that allows many windows programs to run under linux, called Wine. Please read this community document about Wine.
