Visualizo a rede windows mas não consigo abrir...

Instalei o UBUNTU, tudo otimo, mas não consigo navegar na rede microsoft do meu escritorio. Consigo visualizar o grupo de trabalho mas não abre as estações quando clico nelas.

Try if you can access your windows machines via ip address instead of hostname. I think there was a windows security upgrade that might have broken something with the lookup of windows hostnames.

Thank you for your reply. It seems that a full overnight shut down of both router, modem and pc's, has corrected the issue. I can't explain why it happened, but I am very glad it's now working.

After 3 days, I have access to the Windows Network. I can't explain it. Thank you to anyone who looked in here to check it out.

i have installed ubuntu 6.06 in my system. the problem is i can't connect to the internet. the connection requires username and password. its connects in windowxp but not in ubuntu. the broadband modem connects through network cable to computer

use it on the firefox from other computer
