How do I open a Microsoft Publisher document?

I have an important Microsoft Publisher 2003 document and I need to open it in Ubuntu ... How do I do that?

"Publisher's proprietary file format is unsupported by other applications, with the exception of Adobe PageMaker. Markzware's PUB2ID (Publisher to InDesign) plugin will convert Publisher documents from versions 2002 through 2007 to Adobe InDesign CS2 and CS3."

So basicly you are in a dead end.

You could:
* try to install the trial version of Publisher with Wine
* convert to PDF using Office2007 on another computer
* be a really cool person and start using Scribus.

You can use scribus which is a free alternative to MS Publisher

To install scribus give the command in the terminal:

sudo apt-get install scribus
