nautilus doesn't respect umask setting in .gnomerc file

Asked by Marcin Giedz

HI,

Hardy 8.04, all updates

I've set up umask=0002 for bash (.profile) and for GNOME (.gnomerc). When I try to create a folder in /tmp/ through nautilus I always get rwxr-xr-x against rwxrwxr-x when using a terminal. I can manually change permission to group in nautilus but this is not the case. How can I "force" nautilus to tolerate proper umask ?
