By default, the trash bin is an empty directory, so there are no "parts" for it to go into. By default, Nautilus will send files to the trash instead of actually deleting them, giving you the chance to dredge them back up in case you made a mistake.

The one case in which it could be difficult to find is if you "deleted" the file with root permissions. In this case, it would be in the root user's trash directory.

Can you help with this problem?
