download driver samsung ML-2165 printer

I have downloaded the driver from the samsung site, the printer is online but is not printing, can anyone help me please?

How did you install it and what did you download it?

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb

I installed the file from the website and also tried it from the cd. I am not a techie....!
 Do I put the question about the output into the drop down black dropbox? (That is not the correct name)

Natty is no longer supported by the community. It is EOL (End Of Life).

I suggest you clean install with either Precise or Saucy. Both will allow ypu to upgrade directly to Trusty next month. Alternatively you can install Trusty now in prerelease and upgrade seamlessly to the release candidate. This will also be LTS and supported til April 2019

I suggest installing a supported version of Ubuntu (first).

Ok, I have looked this up online and am worried that I am going to damage files etc, how do I clean install Precise please?
