Nautilus doesn't execute scripts anymore

Asked by Chocwise

I just updated my Xubuntu form 12.10 to 13.04 and it seems Nautilus (Yes, I'm using Nautilus, not Thunar), or Files as it's called nowadays, doesn't have the dialogue to execute or open scripts anymore. All scripts are handled as if they were normal text-files. They're being opened directly in the editor when double clicking on them.
The scripts do have the execute bit, so that's not the issue.

How do I get the dialogue with the options to execute in terminal, execute and open when double clocking on scripts in nautilus back?

I got the problem solved myself. After the upgrade, the nautilus setting for asking the user what to do when double clicking scripts was just set to open the scripts as text files.
Simply editing the Nautilus settings did the trick.

Sorry.
