Compiz configuration and Unity problem( I cant see it)

Asked by mnovalic

Ok this is the problem that happened couple minutes ago I just managed to run web browser(finally). I have Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my laptop wich I installed in dual boot with Xp two days ago. It works fine. But since I am new user I just messed up some option in Compiz Config Manager and it has to do with Unity I was on that menu and I clicked one of the checkboxes and whole Unity tray GONE( for my user, on logon screen works ok) ! I also can't se Time and Date menu. So basicly since I installed it yesterday i don't know about shorcuts in Ubuntu and how to restart it or something like that. Basicly I stuck on desktop backgrund, it is only thing I can see. When I try to write something some small texbox is showed up in lower-right part of the screen and nothing happens if i write something and press Enter. I managed to run Nautilus and access the Help online. So If somebody can tell me how to access terminal or to restart Compiz or Unity ( if i only can see Dash or something).

ccsm isn't to be used and is known to cause issues. Was there not a warning when you first ran it?
