Partition Resizing?

Asked by David Vincent-Jones

I have installed XP and Gutsy on my system and they shared the disk on a 50/50 % basis.
I now realise that I will need less XP space and so have reduced the sixe of the first partition accordingly.
I now have spare space on the drive but how can I get Gutsy to grow into the open area?

Try using the Ubuntu install disk and boot into live cd. Then use the partition editor under System>Administation>
Partition Editor. Then you can resize the linux side of the disk according to your needs.

The only question remaining is why I have spent so much of my life with MS products.

Your stunningly simple answer .... well ... it just worked.

Thanks also for the promptness of the response.
