How to change mixed-media CD auto-run?

Asked by KBowz

I should first say this is my first venture into any linux box....

After a new installation of Ubuntu, I put in a mixed-media CD, and was prompted what do I want to do with it. I inadvertently checked the box to always perform this action and selected play music.

I want to uncheck that box, but can't find the option anymore, and now I'm having problems reading the data portion of my mixed-media CDs because it always wants to play the music.

I can turn off auto-run altogether, but what I want is the ability to reset the checkbox that gives me the choice. As it is now, I am having problems reading the data portion of a data disk.

How can I change this setting?

That's the first place I looked. That will only allow me to turn on or off auto-run completely, not change the launch settings of the media when it's inserted.

Can you help with this problem?
