can ubuntu give its own catchy icon to pdf files by default

Asked by rakesh

presently the icon is just a drab blank sheet giving a glimps of the text in pdf file. This sort of plain icon gets lost in the picture desktopwallpapers I'm using latest 12.10 i386 32 bit. tried to do something using Assogiate. It did not work for me.Too cumbersome.

I recommend you make backups of any file you edit, before you edit it
