I cannot install Print Shop or 3DHomeDesignSuite on my computer.

Whenever I put in either my "Print Shop (Premier Edition) version 5" CD to install for use, all the files open up and I can go no further. The same thing happens when I try to install my "3DHomeDesignSuite Deluxe 3" CD.

Whenever I insert these CDs in a computer with Windows XP, they open and all I have to do is press the install buttons until everything is installed.

Please help me.

These programs are Windows programs, and Ubuntu isn't windows.

Some windows programs can run, but not all.

However Ubuntu comes with programs that do very similar things.

If you look in your applications menu you will have some graphics programs in the Graphics menu. You can find more by using Add/Remove Programs at the bottom of the menu.

You can also try running these programs using WINE (a program that lets you run some Windows programs under Linux). See the "Add/Remove Programs" that Caroline mentioned.

Of course, the real solution is for companies to stop putting out software that only runs on one OS. Lots of software is released for Windows, Mac OS and Linux... we all need to ask the developers of our favourite software, "when will you start supporting my platform?"
