Toolbar has disappeared

Asked by Samm

My bottom toolbar has disappeared. Don't know what its called on Linux but its similiar to the bar at the bottom of Windows, where the Start Menu is. Mine disappeared for no reason last week and now i just get error messages when I start up. Something about a GNOME Daemon.

I've been told to go into the task manager type thing for Linux (like CTRL ALT DELETE on windows) but I dont know how to.

Anyone help me???

Thanks

I'm not sure about the error, but if you have lost your panel you can add a new one. I'm assuming you still have the top panel. If so, just right click it and select new panel. You can drag it where you want it. Right click the new panel and choose add to panel. From there you can add back the trash can, windows switcher and such.

HI,

I also encountered this problem. I tried your suggestion but I could not add panel. When I right click the panel area it gave me same options as the desktop area... "create folder"; "create launch"; "create document";, and etc...,

Could you help?

Thanks,
Michael
