Saving files and folders on the hard disk

Asked by bergljot kjartansdottir

I have a folder on the desktop with files to be saved elsewhere?

I'm unsure about the memory of this computer and possibly I need to add to the memory if that is possible.

So two problems: firstly, how to save folders on the hard drive (where is the hard drive?)

Secondly, how do I find out whether this laptop can receive more memory ?

I' m new to Ubuntu and in spite of the guide "for dummies"' don't find it easy to follow the guidelines.....

If you installed ubuntu on hard drive your desktop folder is already on hard drive. For additional memory check your with your laptop manufacturer for your laptop spec.
