usb device is not working

Asked by Gregg Fotheringham

Hi

I have two EDAS USB sticks which I have been using now for some time. I recently put them into my computer and they are not showing at the left hand side of screen to show me that they are recognised or opening up for me to access my files.

I urgently need you help to access information held on USB sticks.

Gregg

Sorry Andrew but unfortunately I am not computer literate - just switch it on and hope for the best.

Only know USB sticks were working one day and the next nothing.

Anyway you can help me ????

Greg we still need the output from the the first part of the command. Do you know the password for your account? Open a terminal window again and type

sudo fdisk -l

and press <enter>. When it asks for your password type it accurately and press enter. You will not get any feedback on the screen when you type the password - Just type it correctly and press enter. Paste the results of the command here.
