Just to make sure I understand correctly, you are running ubuntu and want to use iTunes on ubuntu? Is that correct.

Linux has some good alternative to iTunes. Rhythmbox, Banshee, Guayadeque etc etc.

Not having an antivirus toolbar has nothing to do with not being able to down iTunes.

Can you help with this problem?
