how can i safely Remove Remote Device

I need to know how to safely remove a remote device. I have downloaded photos from a Pentax Optio Camera.

I do not know where to find it.

Its accessible from within nautilus on the left panel

It will appear as a drive on the left panel as described in the previous post. Click on this with the right hand mouse button and select "Safely Remove Drive" or "Eject" either will do. Once the icon has disappeared you can unplug it.

if you are using unity interface, the mounted device will add itself to the unity launcher. right click it and select "safely remove" and it's done!!!!
