file associations problem

Asked by Orrin McGill

I am trying to get files with a ".PS" extension to kick off an application called "GV" when I double click file icon .
In the past when I clicked on the file type, a helper screen would pop up asking which application would like to use to open it.
Nothing was working so I tried FireFox, now Firefox opens and asks what application I would like to use to open the file.
How do I get back having the helper screen pop up without FireFox getting in the way.

Of course, a right click, I guess I was expecting it to be more difficult, sorry.
