Updated to 11.10 now cant open usb drive or sd cards: Archive type not supported...

Hi, I have just updated to 11.10 and when i insert a usb drive or an sd card i get this error Could not open"drive name" Archive type not supported.. these drives all worked on 11.04. anyone help me please as i need the files. thanks

Open nautilus, right click a folder and select open with... then select nautilus and tell the OS to remember the association. Then try your removable storage

You had the opening of folders associated with some archiving app. Those steps just switched it back. The secret were the words "Archive type not supported"
