connecting htc android phone to ubuntu

I am unable to open my HTC Andoid phone once it has been connected to my Ubuntu laptop.

Hello,

How are you connecting the phone to the computer?

The phone should mount as a USB device with a cable connection. You have to set this on the phone.

When you connect an Android by USB, you have three choices. One of them is Storage Mass Memory, select it.
Parameters->Network and Wireless->USB Parameters
