Search box available for whole filename search(like before) or not?

Hello,

I came across a bug which the search box(triggered at bottom and triggered by a letter),simply doesn't wait for you to enter more letters and will be closed.
Is that a real bug or a removed feature?

I suggest you log a bug. Oneiric is not ready and not stable and you will see lots of feature holes, even after release.
