Use your backups

i formatted comp, and installed new Ubuntu. How can I back up?or how can I use backups?

If your data was important you will have made backups in case your drive fails or the data gets damaged. Your data is important, right?

May help if you haven't (I'm guessing you haven't by the tone)

how can I fully recover all files?

Use foremost. You will more than likely NOT get ALL the files. Why do you not have a backup??

Yeah, as actionparsnip has said, use foremost.

You should backup your files. I'd recommend Deja Dup (https://launchpad.net/deja-dup) for its easy of use. You shouldn't really rely on file recovery utilities. Backups are always the best.

Can you help with this problem?
