I cannot find my old files on Ubuntu, like music, pics, documents.

Asked by Joe

So i just installed Ubuntu, and everything was fine till I opened my personal folder, and tried to look into the music, and i didn't find any. I had those files on windows 7 in my user folder in the directory "C". Please help me find the files, I have tried searching in the file system directory thing but didn't find. Thank You.

Windows drives should be listed in the file manager as a shortcut on the left. Windows 7 stores the folders such as "Documents" in C/Users/YOURNAME/Documents

Hello,

whitch version of ubuntu you use? and witch version of windows?

I you open the file manager you will see on the top left icon for Hard disks (one of them is your windows disk)

click it and go to users/xxxx/yourDirectory this is equivalent to c:\users\xxxx\yourDirectory

Can you help with this problem?
