My file folder size on the screen changes. Why?

Sometimes I can adjust the screen size of the file or folder. And I can open two windows to exchange information. Sometimes it is locked full and I cannot change it. Even my email is limited. Maybe something else there. Thanks

Can you explain in greater detail, and also provide screenshots to illustrate what you're talking about?

This has occurred before. It is very simple. There are times when I can adjust the size of a folder or file to a smaller size than screen size. At other times like now. All files and folders open to the full size of the screen and I cannot adjust them. Thanks

Are you trying to change the window size of such? Had you tried using the 'maximize & minimize' window options of opened applications? You can try doing a 'drag & expand' using your mouse to certain opened windows on your desktop.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found it. I just right click the upper right hand side of the window that takes up too much room and click unmaximize and that did it. You people are magicians. Thanks again.

Wubi is an alternative way to install Ubuntu inside Windows (not the best choice) so we move this question to Wubi project...
