Item in Places Tab Unable to Remove

There is a jpg item that somehow ended as a folder in the Places Tab and I am unable to remove it. I can drag it out to the desktop but that only creates a copy. And It won't drag to the Trash. How can I remove?

can you post a screenshot to highlight the issue. Use something like imageshack or photobucket to host it

Its gone and I don't know how it went a way. I remember what it was now. It was a picture I sent to my PC from my cellphone using Bluetooth. It is gone.
