I am trying to point my Documents folder to a server address, eg: XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/folder".

Running the following comment will change the directory.

$ xdg-user-dirs-update --set DOCUMENTS $HOME/Documents

Now logoff and login again, and it should have changed.

Will this work in Ubuntu Notebook? I'm having the same issue on my laptop.

Can you help with this problem?
