I am trying to point my Documents folder to a server address, eg: XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/folder".

Running the following comment will change the directory.

$ xdg-user-dirs-update --set DOCUMENTS $HOME/Documents

Now logoff and login again, and it should have changed.

Will this work in Ubuntu Notebook? I'm having the same issue on my laptop.
