how do I download msn messenger ?

I can't open msn messenger, when I try to open the install programm, this is what comes up :
Cannot open /home/laurel/Desktop/Install_Messenger.exe: No application suitable for automatic installation is available for handling this kind of file.

Have you tried to check out if Install_Messenger.exe is a Windows Installer?

Windows exe files cannot be used to install applications on Ubuntu.

As far as I know, you won't find Msn Messenger for Ubuntu, but you should try GAIM (should be already installed on your Desktop, if not, try downloading it from Internet) which emulates MSN, ICQ and IRC in a pretty nice way.

i prefer amsn it is just like m$n messenger,get it synaptic
