transfer document to yahoo email

Asked by barb zeller

i am trying to transfer a document from yahoo email account that i edited using ubuntu office device. i tried to copy and paste but it won't let me. i have obviously neglected a step somehwere.

the original document was not created on my computer, but by someone else and sent via email.

accessed document from yahoo email.
edited using ubuntu
saved
attempted to email-failure
copied
went to yahoo email where it was in my documents
got it into 'browse' but got no further--it won't copy to email

i just want to be able to put the newly edited version of my resume onto an email. i have been able to do this from my other documents. i should have been able to send it to my email address, but when i tried it said i didn't do something-not sure what.

When you edit the file, save the new file to your documents folder, then you know where it is, my guess is that its in /tmp someplace but if you save the file rather than opening it you will know where it is.

okay, so i really have no idea what i'm doing-obvious, right?
this is what i'd like to do...

to email my document from openoffice.org writer.
when i try to email it opens a window which says i must select evolution archive to restore.
when i get the document in the box, it then wants me to select a valid backup file to restore. ?
and then we go round and round.
how do i get the document into a 'valid backup file'?

Save your document somewhere where you usually keep your documents. After that g oto your Yahoo account and new message>attach files and then browse to your document and attach it and send it.I don´t know how to do it in Evolution because I don´t use it.

Can you help with this problem?
