Hello,

First of all you don't need any antivirus software under Linux, because you are 100% protected from Windows viruses, so just use your linux you don't need bitdefender.

But if you really would like to have security than just follow the instruction given by BitDefender, you shoudl find in the file if it is a packed file I mean tar.gz bz2 or zip. If it is sh just type su sh and the file name example su sh bitdefender.sh .

Here is a web install probably helps http://www.johannrain-softwareentwicklung.de/e_bitdefender_linux_free.htm.

I hope that I could helpt to you in some way,

Sincerely,
