floppy drive not reading media

sorry your having trouble can you give just a bit more information

what system are you using, what are you trying to do, what version of ubuntu

anything else you think might help

   Thanks for your reply.
   I am using Zorin with a Am2 processor 2gig of ram sata hd
   recognizes floppy drive but not the media but will delete data
   on the discs in disc utility, still says cannot mount no media,
   I have tried a different floppy drive but still the same.

have you formatted the floppies . its been along time since ive used them but as i recall you need to format them "cant remember exactly how" (first format or they ghive a error message.)

also if you post your output by pastie here from

application>acessories>terminal lshal

not sure if thats were your terminal is since your using a different flavor seed
