What file system(s) does the NAS provide? Here is a How-To for FSTAB-mounting: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?&t=283131

sorry, not exactly sure how to answer that. i am dual booting win7 and ubuntu 9.10, and i can find my nas in win7. just cant find it in ubuntu. i have tried the file manager, as well as dolphin. in dolphin it was previously working under a network/samba , but i cant find it any more...

If you look in your router status you may fnid it has picked up an IP address via DHCP

You can then type in nautilus' address bar:

smb://ip.of.nas.nic

and you will see the stuff.

Interesting point... If that's the case, you may want to make it an easier target to hit by either giving it a static address - or configuring a static lease in the router. Help with either is available on request.

i dont really know much about either option, but it sounds good... what would be the best option (in your opinion)? and how would i go about doing either?

Can you help with this problem?
