Open Terminal Button on toolbar?

Asked by Adam Feldman

Is there way to add a button on the toolbar that provides the same functionality as the option in the right click menu? When I say toolbar, I am specifically referring to "Toolbar" in /usr/share/nautilus/ui/nautilus-navigation-window-ui.xml Was looking for a button to click rather than having to open up a menu.

As easy as that sounds, now I feel stupid for not being able to figure out what I should be dragging and dropping and to where :P

>__< Alright, so I tried dragging everything I possibly could to the nautilus toolbar to get a button up there, no luck at all. Maybe I am missing something?

Just a note, I am talking about the nautilus file browser, not the panel... (not sure if that's what you meant)

sudo apt-get install nautilus-open-terminal

andy@fileserver:~$ apt-cache search nautilus-open-terminal
nautilus-open-terminal - nautilus plugin for opening terminals in arbitrary local paths

You may need to restart gnome / nautilus for the change to take effect, but afterwards you’ll have a “open terminal” button on your right-click menu anywhere within nautilus or gnome-desktop area. Enjoy.

Hey actionparsnip, you are my hero :P erm, sidetracking... I wanted a button up where back, forward, up, search, etc are... I already installed it and got the right click button.

Not sure about a button. I thought the right click was hugely intuitive. Maybe someone else can suggest.`

nautilus-open-terminal doesn't exist anymore, and the right click option cannot be triggered in a list view full of files.

Can you help with this problem?
