how to add galician translation to nautilus-image-converter

Asked by ouro

Some months ago I translated nautilus-image-converter to galician language. I translate the .po file and compile a .mo file, then I add this file to /usr/share/locales/gl/LC_MESSAGES and the app talks in galician. ok.

I tried to contact nautilus-image-converter developers many times by mail (I found this information on their web page http://www.bitron.ch/contact/) but my mails were ignored.

I'd like to see my translation for nautilus-image-converter in the main debian repository (and the ubuntu main repo too) but I don't know what is the procedure to achieve this.

can anybody help me?

thanks

dani

Hi dani!

Here is the package page on Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-image-converter

Unfortunately translations aren't activated; but you can contact the maintainer Julien Lavergne (or file a bug against the package)

By the way, there is a Launchpad Galician translations group which might interest you: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+lang/gl

Unha aperta!
