   Hello,
I'd like to know when it is planned for mplayer on lucid to be updated to have the vdpau feature.

You can add the vdpau ppa then reinstall mplayer:

https://launchpad.net/~nvidia-vdpau/+archive/ppa

I believe the current build does have vdpau already.
