Until now, only easymp3gain-data is available, but mp3gain separately is not

mp3gain has been abandoned. see https://bugs.debian.org/761847
python-rgain is suggested as alternative.

But according to this bug-report and my experience, it seems, that python-rgain is not ready to replace it at this time?

If the program crashes the same way on Ubuntu, then this should be reported as a bug (preferably with a reference to the Debian bug).
