Indicator for Thunderbird?

Have I overlooked a way to use the indicator applet w/Thunderbird?

I am using TB 3.0.4 on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit and would LOVE to integrate this option. Any comments or help is much appreciated.

Have you tried http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/05/how-to-add-thunderbird-to-messaging.html ? I found that in this bug report: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/indicator-applet/+bug/573941

(I am not using Thunderbird so I can not verify it works.)
