Modemmanager 1.6 builds

Modemmanager 1.6 has been released upstream, see announcement at https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/modemmanager-devel/2016-July/003211.html.

Any idea when to expect ubuntu builds for this?

Unless there are significant gains and bug fixes the package will remain.

Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages are not updated just because a new version is out.

You can report a bug to alert the development team.

Thanks for your reply. Since the new version fixes issues with various devices (e.g. Sierra EM 7455 - which lots of Thinkpads are equipped with) I'll raise a ticket.
