Ericsson N5321GW

Asked by Josip Sokcevic

Recently I bought Lenovo Thinkpad T431s 20AA. Specification says it has built in Ericsson N5321gw. However, it's not recognized nor listed in lsusb/lspci.

Is this a 3G modem?

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

If you have the device out and run:

lsusb

Is there a line different? What line identifies the device?

Thanks

I can't do such thing as it's built in. However, I disabled it in BIOS and there is no difference between output of lsusb (as well as lspci).

I'm running 1.07, latest one is 1.09. Here's changelog:

<1.09>
 UEFI: 1.09 / ECP: 1.02
- (Fix) Fixed an issue where help message about Display and I/O Port Access menu
        in ThinkPad Setup was not correct.

<1.08>
 UEFI: 1.08 / ECP: 1.02
- (Fix) Fixed an issue that WMI for security chip did not work.
- (Fix) Fixed an issue that the system might fail to get IP from DHCP at PXE boot.

It doesn't seem relevant.

Ok, I'm an idiot. T431s is upgradeable to support WWAN, but doesn't support out of box. hurr durr
