There does not exist a 64-bit version of mit-scheme. Would not mit-scheme-c (portable) fix this serious lack? (http://www.gnu.org/software/mit-scheme/liarc-build.html)

I work for a college, and I have two labs I need to deploy mit-scheme into, but they are all 64-bit systems. This is in preparation to introduce selected staff/students to the MIT LISP/SCHEME book and video lectures, and I am trying to be as true to the material as reasonably possible.

Thanks!

I did a checkinstall version of it on my home amd64 system and it seems to work as advertised.

What would be the next step to have a PPA done?

Can you help with this problem?
