What is a simple way to determine which mime-support package that I am running?

I am working on addressing security issues - and I know that I am running mime-support_3.51-1ubuntu1.
I see that through a vulnerability scanner.

What is the Ubuntu command that I can reveal which mime-support package a system is currently using?

do you mean the version number? If so then run:

apt-cache policy mime-support
